Red Baron Fight XXXV Preview 

The 35th anniversary edition of the Indy Squadron's Red Baron Fight is to be held Saturday, May 18 at the Skinner home in Lewisville, IN beginning at 12 noon. Seven players have said they are likely to attend with several other possible attendees yet to confirm. 

The field includes former champions Rick, Dory, Stephen and Ethan (one of only three players to ever win RBF in an Albatros). Bob, Benjamin and Jonathon are seeking their first RBF titles, and George and Kevin also remain possible competitors.

The Red Baron Fight uses the Dawn Patrol game platform to recreate the final flight of Manfred von Richthofen, Germany's famed Red Baron, who scored 80 aerial victories before being killed in combat on April 21, 1918. The game approximates the same altitude, location, conditions and airplanes that were present for the legendary air battle over Morlancourt Ridge in France more than 100 years ago. 

The winner's Silver Goblet is also a direct recreation of the silver cups ordered by Richthofen after each of his kills (until the silver supply in Germany ran out in late 1917). See you next Saturday!
